Creative Identity is an independent publication launched in July 2022 by Oana Velcu-Laitinen.

Oana Velcu-Laitinen is a Helsinki based NeuroLeadership coach and trainer with focus on creative thinking to excel at work. Her clients include researchers, change leaders, entrepreneurs, and individuals seeking career growth.

Oana holds a PhD in Economics from Hanken School of Economics in Helsinki, Finland. During her doctoral research on the implementation of Enterprise Resource Planning systems in mid-sized Finnish companies, she repeatedly noticed anxiety and disorientation among stakeholders in the change management. As a result, she got interested in supporting individuals and organisations to enhance their capacity to adapt through deliberate strategies of creativity. So, in 2016, after a post-doc in Aalto University and a maternity leave,  she started crafting her professional path as a knowledge solopreneur.

In October 2022, Apress published Oana's book How to Develop Your Creative Identity at Work which digests the latest research on creative identity, mindsets and beliefs and turn it into actionable principles for ambitious knowledge workers. Her motto is, “To know job satisfaction, know your creativity.”
